God Gave You the Power to Get Wealth
From the very beginning, God’s intention was never for His people to be poor. Deuteronomy 8:18 makes this remarkably clear:
“But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.”
Deuteronomy 8:18 (KJV)
God gives the power to get wealth. And that word power here means the ability and creativity to get wealth. So God cannot be angry that you are wealthy. He is the one who gave you the capacity to create it.
Wealth Comes From Solving Problems
Please note this carefully. Money will not fall from heaven. It comes from solving a problem. So that power God gave you that ability and creativity is specifically for solving problems.
Look at the patriarchs:
- Abraham solved a problem.
- Isaac solved a problem.
- Jacob solved a problem.
- Joseph solved a problem.
Every one of them became wealthy because they were problem solvers. So the question you need to ask yourself is this — which problem are you solving?
You are only blessed according to the level of the problem you solve. Think about it this way. When you have a court problem, you go to a lawyer. When you have a food problem, you go to a food seller. The lawyer and the food seller both solve problems, but their levels of compensation are different. The level of problem you solve determines the level of your blessing.
Kingdom Wealth Responds to Solved Problems
“The hand of the diligent shall bear rule: but the slothful shall be under tribute.”
Proverbs 12:24 (KJV)
People reward people who remove their pain. You do not need to know everything to be wealthy. You just need one solution that matters to people.
Consider Joseph. He only had one strategy surviving the famine. That single strategy did not just keep him alive. It made him Prime Minister of Egypt. God will use your one solution to elevate you beyond what you can imagine.
7 Biblical Principles for Wealth
The Bible teaches us how to make money, maintain wealth, and multiply it. Here are the principles straight from scripture:
1. Work Is Necessary to Create Wealth
“He becometh poor that dealeth with a slack hand: but the hand of the diligent maketh rich.”
Proverbs 10:4 (KJV)
Work is not a curse. It is a vehicle. Whether it is your own business or a job, you must engage. Wealth does not come to idle hands.
2. Wealth Starts in the Mind
“For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he.”
Proverbs 23:7 (KJV)
Proverbs 4:23 reminds us that money comes from the mind. What you will become starts in your mind. Failure and success both start there. Develop your mind and you develop your wealth.
3. Excellence Attracts People and Financial Favour
“Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men.”
Proverbs 22:29 (KJV)
Excellence is a magnet. When you do what you do with excellence, you stop chasing opportunities — opportunities chase you. Honour attracts financial favour. See Proverbs 3:9.
4. Honour Attracts Financial Favour
“Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase.”
Proverbs 3:9 (KJV)
When you honour God with your resources, you position yourself for supernatural financial favour that no human strategy can produce.
5. Wealth Begins With Discovering Your Gift
“A man’s gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before great men.”
Proverbs 18:16 (KJV)
Your gift is your greatest financial asset. Discover it. Develop it. Deploy it. It will open doors that money alone cannot open.
6. Money Follows Value
“The liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that watereth shall be watered also himself.”
Proverbs 11:25 (KJV)
Offer something that is valuable. Money flows to value. When you give people something that genuinely helps them, wealth follows. See Proverbs 12:24, Proverbs 22:29, and 2 Peter 1:10.
7. Focus Leads to Success
Even water can break a stone when it is focused. Many people are all over the place jumping from idea to idea, business to business. Stay focused. Concentrated effort over time produces extraordinary results.
Conclusion
I am confident that in the course of this series, many people will be liberated financially. These are not motivational ideas. These are biblical principles proven by scripture, proven by the patriarchs, and available to every child of God who is willing to apply them.
God gave you the power to get wealth. Now it is time to use it.
